I was recently invited to take part in a local art exhibition at The Venue wherein a number of poets were brought in and made to select a piece of art and use it as a basis of inspiration for a poem. "Die Sonne Scheint mir aus den Augen / The Sun Shines From My Eyes" was selected and a poem written and read based on it. This was interesting. After the selections were made and the poems written, I (along with my literary counterpart) were invited to the WFIU studios for a radio interview about the exhibition and our individual stories regarding the painting, the poem, and their relationship. Audio has been captured and the interview will air

If all goes as planned, I will soon be adding purveyor of art to my list of responsibilities. Further meetings must be had, and final details fleshed out, but one of the locations my gallery has been using to house runoff work should soon be firmly within my grasp. Suffice it to say, I am excited. Scared just shy of shitless, but excited nonetheless. Stay tuned folks, this is going to be an interesting ride. *cue maniacal cackle*

I got hold of an old IBM XT Model 5160 many months ago - a friend's dad was selling his house and offered those of us that did the hard labor the entirety of what we were excavating from the attic. This included some late 80s-early 00s Apple hardware, a couple of Fortune Systems 32:16 Unix machines, and my baby, the made-in-October-of-86 XT. Sadly, the operating system refuses to load, and I have no software on 5.25" disks, so its useless for the time being. On the bright side, I found an AT to PS/2 adapter at a local computer store, so at the very least, I can plug the XT's 6-pound keyboard into my main computer. And it works...beautifully
